Hi, for reading the Bible, I mostly use the Uversion Bible app since they have audio Bibles for free.
For Bible study, I’ve been looking into several different ones to try to find the one that’s the most accessible. I haven’t found one yet that will let me do everything I want to, but so far, the most accessible ones I’ve found are Blue Letter Bible, Pocket Sword, the Olive Tree Bible app, and Bible Hub.
I would be really interested to hear how accessible E-Sword is. I haven’t tried that one yet.
For prayer, I absolutely love PrayerMate. It let’s you put in lists of prayer requests and you can have it rotate through them on a schedule you choose. For example, I have 4 siblings who each have families, so I pray for a different sibling and their family on different days of the week.
PrayerMate also has prayer packs you can download with Bible verses to help you pray. For example, they have praying the armor of God from Ephesians, Prayers for Christ’s increase with a lot of different verses, Prayers for Praise, Prayers for faith affirmations, Prayers for people where they take Bible verses and leave a blank to insert someon’s name to pray that verse for them, and a lot more! It’s awesome!
For Bible memory, I mostly use Fighter Verses, although I have another one called Remember Me as well.
I listen to a lot of Christian content on YouTube. Mike Winger is one of my favorite teachers. He also has an app called BibleThinker, which is useable, but has a couple issues with accessibility.
I also have the Frontier Alliance International (FAI) app. They are a missionary organization in the Arab world that also has Bible study content as well as films. They have a YouTube channel as well.
Other than that, I download a lot of Christian books from bookShare and read them in Voice Dream Reader.
I hope you find something useful here, and please do let me know your experience with E-Sword. Oh, and if you have specific questions about any of the apps I mentioned, Id be happy to try to answer them.

Does anyone use a Bible app that allows you to add highlights and notes, and where voiceover announces a passage has a highlight or note? That would be super helpful!

I’d love to know this as well. This is one of the main things I’ve been searching for in a Bible app. I’m still trying different ones, so I’ll be sure to let you know if I find one.

Hi, For the Bible I have Dwell, Bible Gateway Scourby Bible App and YouVersion and I find I use YouVersion the most for daily readings and the like. The Abide app also has guided audio meditations based on the bible and it is reasonably accessible or was when last I checked. For those who enjoy the daily lectionary Lectio365 is good for that. For Christian News I have Christian Post and CBN News. For Sermons I spend the most time in the apps from Calvary Chapel Philadelphia, Calvary Chapel Chester springs as well as the Hope FM app from Calvary Chapel Marlton which is also good for its accompanying radio station and archives of programs aired therein. The apps from Spirit 90.5 fm and UCB out of the UK are reasonably accessible but not needed if you have any other radio station aggregating app like Tune In Radio. I didn't find the Scourby Bible app mentioned above to be the most intuitive but I know another Aplevis contributor uses and likes it so they might be better able to give more hints on that one. I'd be curious to know if anyone has a favorite app which allows for the reading of hymn lyrics or stories behind them easily with VoiceOver. Oh I almost forgot the Every Moment Holy an app accompanying the book of liturgies and prayers for various occasions and events is quite accessible. It has paid content unlocking the entirety of the book but also features some free content so you can get a feel for it. I hope that helps
