Changing Key in ThumbJam

I am totally blind, and I downloaded the paid version of the ThumbJam. I believe I am going to enjoy it very much, but I have somehow gotten it in the key of C-Sharp or D-Flat (depending on what you want to call it). I saw a small item in the Help section, but it referred to colors (a bummer for a totally-blind person). Most of my playing will be in D, G, A, C, and once in awhile E. I found the way to set the scale as the Major scale, and I do have the major scale - of D-Flat. So how can I reliably set the key I want without sight? Is there anywhere a good manual that will explain the complete operation of the program? I am by nature a "knob freak", but I also want some good instructions to help me get some practical, usable music out of the app.

Go to the podcast section of this site, and you should find my podcast on it which explains everything you're asking about.

do this in the latest version. First, you can use the sidebar's octave and span + and - buttons, which let you adjust the playable range by octaves. The other way is to use the pitch sidebar (enabled from the Prefs menu). The pitch sidebar allows you to control the range of notes on screen with more precision. You can show fractional octave ranges, as well as setting the lowest note to be any note in the scale, rather than just a root note. Dragging near the middle of the bar will adjust the entire range up and down, whereas dragging at the top or bottom edge will adjust only that side of the range.

To actually change key, you have to enable the key changer toggle. It has two settings, one where key letters are shown, and one where they are not.
