Casting audio to Google home/nest from apps that don't have a cast button

Hi everyone. I'm writing to see if anyone knows of an accessible way to cast audio to a Google Home/Nest speaker from apps like Audible or Overcast that don't have cast buttons built in. I don't want to use blue tooth because I still want VO on my phone. I tried the app Master Caster, but that seems to not work with those apps, or maybe something is inaccessible that I missed. I've also found a couple articles that say you can cast whatever your audio is on your phone from the Google Home app itself, but the instructions either didn't work or weren't taking some accessibility bug into account. This also might just be an impossible thing to do. But any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi.
this is the exact reason for I would prefer Airplay over Cast. Airplay works everywhere, where Cast needs a Cast button in the app. That is, unless you are using an Android phone where Cast works like Airplay.

Thanks Edward; that's helpful to know. I hadn't updated to iOS 15 so I didn't have that option yet. Now I do. But now the volume of VO coming out of my phone while the blue tooth is paired is fluctuating pretty wildly. Any idea why that is?

One reason I prefer to cast over Airplay is that when using Airplay the moment you close the app on your phone the music/movie/event you are broadcasting to your speaker stops. I like the fact that when casting you can completely close the app on your phone and then not have to worry about using two devices to play one thing. I hope that last makes sense.
