Under voiceover settings under verbosity and punctuation you are able to customize specifically which punctuation is spoken allowed. I have created a new group and based off of the all setting. I have selected ignore to six instances of punctuation I wish not to be spoken allowed. Each one of these individual punctuation marks I have opted to not have spoken allowed are not. So it works correctly. When I make the exact same adjustment to the apostrophe punctuation mark it does not work. Again, I have made the exact same adjustment that has been successful for all the other pieces of punctuation but it will not work for the apostrophe. I feel slightly nuts and a bit nitpicky but I love that we are able to make these customizations and am frustrated at the fact that this one does not work. It's definitely not the end of the world but why have the option if it doesn't work?

Sometimes you have to reset settings.
There are these smaller issues that are plugging voiceover as a whole. As far as I’m aware no real fix except to reset settings. It might be inconvenient, but it’s the only real way to get voiceover settings like punctuation, speak auto text, keyboard on screen, etc., to work Consistently.
