Hi all. I used to be able to bypass the lock screen by pressing any key on my bluetooth keyboard. This was handy if i didn't want to hear the time or wanted to proceed directly to the home screen without going to the lock screen first.
Ever since I updated to IOS 10 yesterday, I haven't been able to bypass the lock screen. IF I press a key on my bluetooth keyboard it takes me to the lock screen, not the home screen. I can't find a way to change this in settings and it is mildly annoying.
Has anyone else encountered this and if so, is there a workaround? Any help gratefully appreciated. Thanks.
PS. Running IOS 10 on an iPhone 6S. Apart from this minor annoyance I am really loving the update.

Try typing your pass code
Try typing your pass code or use touch Id. If you forgot the pass code, you need to restore your device using iTunes.
Also...
If you just restarted your device, you have to unlock it with a pass code the first time.
I can unlock the phone, don't want to see the lock screen
Hi guys. Thanks for your replies. I don't have any trouble unlocking my phone. What I want to do is bypass the lock screen and go straight to the home screen. I used to be able to do this with my bluetooth keyboard, but now when I press a key on the keyboard it takes me to the lock screen instead. This is only a minor inconvenience but I enjoyed the option of not having to go to the lock screen if I didn't want to.
Try clicking the Home button with your BT keyboard
Try pressing Control + Option (VO( + H while your iDevice is locked. If you don't have a passcode enabled you will be sent directly to the Home screen. Otherwise, you will need to type your passcode before landing on the Home screen.
Cool. I'll try it
Thanks mate. Will let you know how I got on.
