Hi,
On my new iPhone 16 running IOS 26.0.1 I cannot enter text into edit fields using my external bluetooth keyboard. When I activate the edit field VO makes the quicknav sound and says "editing". However when I try typing, VO says something like "no headings/landmarks". This reminds me of structural navigation in NVDA.
The only way I can enter text is by activating the edit field using my bt keyboard, pressing left and right arows simultaneously and then turn VO off. This happens in all edit fields including Safari, Whatsapp, Messages, Facebook, etc.
Can someone please tell me how to be able to fully use my keybardd again?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Kris

Single Letter Quick Nav
Try turning off single letter quick nav with Vo-Q by default. Report to Apple as well as here if unsuccessful.
Happening occasionally in latest iOS 18 updates too
I've been noticing this occasionally over the last few months with each iOS 18 update. It only happens with certain text fields and I thought it was an app accessibility issue.
I donβt have on quick nav or single letter quick nav.
Was hoping iOS 26 would have resolved this. Guess I will continue to hold off.
@Christopher, it worked!
Thank you Christopher. Turning off single letter quick nav did the trick!
Have also reported bug to Apple
Thanks to the workaround I was able to use my bt keyboard and VoiceOver to submit a bug report to Apple. Hopefully, this single letter quick nav issue will be fixed soon.
Thank you all again for your help.
