Hi,
I'm trying to enable iCloud backup on my iPhone but I'm unable to do so.
When I go to settings > iCloud > Storage and Backup, iCloud backup is set to off, but it is dimmed so I cannot turn it on, even though I have almost 2G free space.
I have tried deleting my iCloud account on my iPhone and signing back in but this has made no difference. My restrictions are also set to off so their is no conflict there.
Has anyone experienced this problem before? I'd appreciate any help.
Donnacha.

Connect your iPhone to the PC and do it that why to see if it works. When you are in your phone tab to iCloud and check on it and the back it to iCloud.

When I connect it to iTunes I'm able to backup to either iCloud or my PC with no problems.
When I navigate to iCloud via settings on my phone, the option to back up is still dimmed (Even when connected to iTunes on my PC)
A couple possibilities
I did a Google search and found this:

One reason given there for the option being greyed out is if the device was provided by an employer, or if you set up the device to use an email account from your employer. The employer can prevent iCloud backup from your device, in order to ensure that data from the company does not end up on another server. I don't know if this would apply to you, but it is one possible explanation.
Also, make sure you have at least 50 MB of free space on your device. Not iCloud space, but free space on the actual device. You mentioned how much free space you have, but you didn't say if it was for your device or for iCloud storage.
Finally, make sure your device is configured for Wifi, since backups will not work over cellular.

Good find. It's most likely the fact I have my company email set up on my phone... I suspected that this was the issue, but was hoping not!
Thanks for the help.
