Can’t access search field of by again/previous orders page in Amazon iOS app

FYI, using voice dictation so forgive any screwy spellings etc. I have the latest versions of iOS and the Amazon iOS app and for the past several weeks I cannot set voiceover focus inside the search field when on the buy it again or orders pages of the app. I double tap on the edit field but I never get the on-screen keyboard. I even tried turning VoiceOver off with my finger hovered over the field, single tapping it and turning voiceover on again but still no luck. Anyone else having this issue?

Hi. I don't use that app often, but if I remember right, try doing a single finger double tap, but on the second tap, leave your finger on the screen. I guess they call that a tap and hold? I'm not sure of the correct terminology.

Good luck!

In the Amazon App, when you go to the buy it again places, there’s usually a link you can double-tap on for the item. Also on the first page when you open Amazon, if you flick right a little, you will hear “Voice search”. If you double-tap on this and just say what you’re looking for, Alexa will help you find it. Good luck!

The search field works as expected for me on my orders page. However, it's as you describe when I go to the Buy it Again page.

This is using an iPhone 12 Pro running iOS 15.4.1.

However, unlike the OP, I was able to work around it by figuring out where the search field is located on the screen, disabling VoiceOver, tapping on the search field, and enabling VoiceOver. This had me with the onscreen keyboard present, so I was able to type in to the search field and perform a search.
