I'm struggling with widgets, how do they work? can you only have one widget on one page? and can we make stacks of widgets, or only the OS makes smart stacks of widgets based on some predefined criteria, if so? What is that?
Any help grately appreciated, as I think they could be very useful, but just struggling a little with what they are and how to use
Thanks

Okay so here is how I understand them. Widgets let you view things like the current temperature of your location for weather, your recently played music, and other things like calendar events. To create a widget, go to the page where you would like the widget located, and swipe up untill you hear VO say "Edit Mode" Double tap the screen. Once you are in edit mode, tap with 4 fingers at the top of the screen, and you should hear "Add widget". Double tap on that, and you can swipe through the different types of widgets. Once you have found the one you are looking fore, double tap the screen. Finally, tap with 4 fingres at the bottom of the screen, and you will find "Add widget." Double tap to add widget. After that, press the home button to stop editing. To find the widget, go to the top of the screen. As far as I know, you can't change the location of the widget. In regards to stacks, I think you can only use smart stacks. As for how they work, I don't know. I hope this helps.

If you double tap the widget, it will take you to the app that the widget gets it's information from. For example, double tapping a weather widget will take you to the weather app.

Hi,

There is an excellent audio tutorial here. Additionally, as I was setting up my work iPad, I asked a clarifying question that helped me display the information I wanted. You can find this thread here . Hope this helps and good luck!
