I have an iphone 6 running ios 12 and an iPad running iPad os 15.1.
I am moderately hard of hearing and severe vision loss.
I want to use Ipod Air pro in place of hearing aids . Will the listening functions of Ipod Air Pro, which will be paired to my iPad, still function when I am away from my iPad using my Iphone 6.

That does not sound like it will work but you might try this
The AirPod Pro probably would not work particularly well it’s a hearing device as it is, you might try the EarPods. Especially the more advanced models. Also you might look into your Medicare coverage, because they have greatly expanded hearing coverage. Some of the Medicare advantage plans do offer assistance with hearing aid replacement and purchases now. Hope this helps you.
Head Shadow hearing aid app works with AirPods Pro
For your iPhone 6, AirPods Pro works as a hearing aid with the Head Shadow app. This app is tested by a member here, is voice over compliant, and easy to use.
You can use the iPhone microphone to capture sounds. The app amplifies the sounds and plays on your AirPods Pro speakers, or on any other wired or wireless device that you may use.
You could also use either the right or the left AirPods Pro microphone to capture sounds, Again, the app amplifies the sounds and plays on both AirPods Pro speakers.
Search for Head Shadow on this forum for more details. You can contact me at support@swiftricity.com for more information.
Good luck, stay safe. Isa Asudeh, iOS Developer, Head Shadow App, App Store.
