Buying the knfb reader app in the itunes store via PC. Hello. I would really like to buy the KNFB reader app and put it on my ipod touch. I mainly have my ipod touch hooked up to the pc when I install apps. When I did a search in the itunes store I saw the KNFB reader app they mention the price which is nice. I even read the manual and it mentioned something of a buy button when you first launch the app. I just don't get it. Lets just say you buy the app it downloads to the computer and the next time you hook up the ipod touch you decide to install the app. After you have the app on your ipod touch do you still get the buy button? Okay am thinking here you really should not see the buy button since you paid and downloaded the app you bought it the buy button should not be there and it should be unlocked right away cause you paid for it. I don't have a wifi connection, would love to use the app since I have heard so many good things about the app. Has anyone recently bought the app? Is the buy button still there? I even sent an email to knfbreader.com asking about this and mentioned that they should have a lite version and a regular version in the itunes app store. That would make it a lot easier. Since I do not have wifi how do I get the buy button out of the app?

Is it possible that by purchasing the app with a computer you got a version other than the IOS version?

iTunes has nothing but iOS apps, so if you bought it via iTunes it's the correct version. You can't possibly screw this up by buying it on the pc. I have the ap and the only buy button I'm aware of is the one I used when I purchased the app on my iPhone. I don't use iTunes on the pc hardly at all since the phone is about a bazillion times easier at least for me. I know not everyone has iPhones though. Also, I'm going to gently nudge you to look into getting Wi-Fi. If you do, you won't even have to hook the iPod touch to the pc when you want to install apps, it'll download to both your pc and your iPod at the same time.

Thanks everyone for the replies. No have not bought it yet, have emailed them yesterday and I did get a reply from them this morning. They mentioned the buy button is not there anymore if you buy directly from itunes, after you download it the version is unlimited. That is nice with dealing with IOS. Cause when I read the manual and heard the interview from last August both things mentioned the unlocking and the buy button. What Joel told me in the email that dealt with Android. I do like the idea of wi-fi, but my husband and I do have a wired internet connection, it is just easier for us plus we have three desk top pcs and it works for us. I do like the fact I can be in control of what apps I can have on my ipod touch both the 5 and the 6 generation. So for me having itunes on the pc to do all of that plus listen to internet radio have some excellent computer speakers to go with everything. I like the fact it works have been dealing with this since 2013. I am going to get the app at some point. It sounds really cool and worth the 100 dollars. It would of been awesome to have all of this when I was in college. I went to college in the mid 90s, from 1996 to 1999. Back then it was dial up. Plus I had one computer and the heavy scanner had to take that down when I went home on the weekends. Wow now you can just put everything in a computer bag or something. Plus it is a lot lighter.

Hey, I'm glad you have a system that works for you. I do understand wanting to have a direct connection to the pc instead of Wi-Fi, but nothing beats being able to download an app on your iPod, and then 5 seconds later it shows up without having to hook it to the pc. So, if you do ever get it, you'll enjoy that. You'll need to enable the automatic downloading of apps, but it works great.
