Hello all, I don't know if anybody has noticed this but since shortly after GarageBand was updated for IOS 8, there has been a problem when recording drums. It only seems to happen with drums. If I am playing drums and then move up to the buttons at the top to record or to open settings Etc., it seems to forget to switch back to double tapping so I will be touching around to find a button and as I touch, they activate and often do not give audible feedback when touched. This makes it very difficult to record drums because I don't know if I hit the record button or the play button and when I do get it right, I sometimes don't get feedback from drums when I touch them. It is hard to explain but it is like it forgets to go to double tap on those buttons and go back to just touching when I touch the drums. Like I said, I don't have this problem with any other instruments. Thanks in advance for any help. Best, Jesse Tregarthen

Not sure that's a bug
Idon't think that's a bug. That's direct touchdoing what it does I think. Could be wrong though.
Definitely a bug
Yes, I have noticed this as well, and it drives me crazy. Here are a couple of alternatives:
Use the smart drums instrument to create beats. You have less control over the beat but it is more accessible
Use the drummer instrument and it will play a beat for you automatically. Even less control over the beat, but it sounds very good and you can tweak things
Finally, you can do what I have done and buy a midi controller keyboard. This allows you to play the drums from the keyboard, as well as play any of the other on screen instruments.
While we are on the subject of garage band bugs, Is it just me, or is editing tracks in the track view with voiceover almost impossible? For example, I find it very difficult to slide TrackZ around, split tracks, Loop portions of tracks, or any other editing features. What are your experiences with the track view?
