Bought new phone, but not all data is being transferred

Hi. Well, I bought and iphone 11 pro. The problem is that my iphone 7 has about 95 gb of data on it, including 20 or so gb of bard mobile books. It seems that when I transfer via icloud, I get about 63 gb back, and the bard books don't transfer. And they are not showing up in the itunes file sharing section. I guess I could download all 100 plus books, but the problem is too that I don't know what other data is missing from the old phone to the new one. I just know that about 20 gb is the bard stuff, and not sure what the other stuff is. I need basically an exact copy of the phone since i use it for work. I also tried setting the phone up via the quick start method, but it only copied 47 gb or so of data. Do I need to take the phone into the apple store and have them do it? That's an absolute last resort, given covid and all the fun stuff that goes along with it, not to mention I have no idea what I would do while the thing was being backed up and restored which could take hours. If I can't basically have the same data on the new phone, then I might as well keep the old one even though the battery is failing. I'm not sure what to do. Thanks any help is appreciated.

Hi. I don't live in the USA so haven't ever used the bard app. But it may not be possible to back it up to iCloud, so you may not be able to get the books transferred across that way.

You could try backing up to iTunes, it should in theory back up everything.

Good luck!

I do not think that the books yoou have in Bard are loaded to iCloud.

I have gone through the over the air backup a few times now. The BARD books do not transfer. Otherwise, I feel confident that your data is all there. When reviewing old vs. new iPhones, nothing was missing, except for those darn BARD books. I think everything should be fine for you.

Music files, podcasts, and videos are not backed up to iCloud. While you need to download BARD books again, the music files in your iTunes library will need to be restored using your computer.

Let me ask you this, the music, and other media/contacts is the music, from apple music? or from cds you have imported to Itunes? also if this is the case then I Icloud backup should restore that which you need, the bard books will have to be redownloaded. as to what the others have said here.

I never ever had good luck with that. You have to I believe transfer all of your books again. This was actually after a system reset, not replacement of a phone. I don't use the bard app anymore so ...
