It's world Emoji day! So it got me thinking, what's the easiest way to find emojis using voiceover? There are so many. I liked how it worked before, when there were separate pages of them. Thoughts?

Hi.

I agree with you. I think there should be a search feature. I do have a way to find emojis that is a bit easier.

Here's how I do it:

Say you're talking about a book you're reading, and you'd like to find the book emoji. Well, the book is in the objects tab. The best thing you can do is know or at least have a idea of what category your emoji you want is in. You should be aware though, that certain ones won't be in the category you'd think they'd be in. One example of this is the four-leaf clover emoji. I thought it'd be in the symbols category because it symbolizes good luck. But, it wasn't, it was in the nature tab.

I'm sorry I couldn't help you anymore than this, but I hope this helps you at least a little bit.

Hi,

IOS10 introduced a nifty new feature in the Messages App.
Rather than try to search for an Emoji, simply type your Message using standard text and then let IOS suggest Emoji replacements for you.
It works something like this:
1. Type your message in the Messages App.
2. Change your IOS on-screen keyboard language to Emoji.
3. IOS will then advise if Emoji Substitutions are available.
4. Flick through the message as IOS selects words suitable for replacement and then offers suitable Emoji alternatives.
This is, I think, quite a neat feature.
A recent message I sent was:
"Boarding Plane now."
On changing my keyboard to Emoji, IOS offered several Plane related Emoji for the word Plane.
