Audible app doesn't work on my iOS 6.0.1 devices

I recently upgraded to an iPad mini from and iPad 2. The Audible app doesn't work properly on the iPad mini. When I attempt to download a book, the download starts and then a little while later, I get an error message telling me no cellular network is available. The title is only partially downloaded and my Wifi connection has disconnected and has to be manually reconnected. This never happened on my old iPad, with iOS 5. However, the same thing happens on my iphone 5, which is why I think it is the app and not my iPad mini. Has anyone else had this issue? Any comments would be appreciated. I would add that I have no connection issues using other apps, I have a good quality router and fibre broadband. JT

Hi JT, I've had similar issues on both my AT&T iPhone 4S and AT&T iPad 2 since upgrading to IOS 6 and 6.01. I could be wrong, but my feeling is that it's not just a problem with the Audible app. For me, the issue happens when downloading books in the Audible App, but I've also had it happen when downloading books in the LearningAlly app and even when downloading from Apple's App Store app. What seems to happen is that my device gets disconnected from the network during the download process and when I check status it shows WiFi is no longer connected. I can then manually reconnect to my WiFi router -- which BTW is a normally reliable Apple Airport Express -- and restart the process and hope it finishes successfully. I did a bit of standard troubleshooting when the issue first hit, but around the same time the Media and discussion boards started filling up with reports of IOS6x WiFi connection problems, so I figured I'd just have to wait it out until Apple releases a fix. If you haven't already done this, try searching the web for the terms "zdnet ios 6 wi-fi problems" and you'll get a long list of articles detailing the symptoms along with some possible solutions and workarounds.
