I have heard that you can purchase apps from Apple Store using Apple Pay. I have Apple Pay enabled but I cannot purchase apps with it. So I was wondering if Apple Pay works within apps.

You need to make sure touch ID is enabled to use purchases from iTunes and app store. Then it's as simple as when the alert comes up, pressing the home button or doing the equivalent gesture. I don't have a phone without the home button. Also in my view, I'd turn off one click settings. I know it's second Are you sure you want to buy this? But for me, I like that extra control. My brother once spent fifty bucks on a game because he turned off that setting on an iPad we shared. He turned it on, paid me, and we don't share a device anymore. Lol.

It also works when adding funds to your Apple ID. Note: it will not work for subscription renewals; the payment method below Apple Pay will be used for that.
