Apple Music sing may be an innovative feature, integrating, karaoke, style lyrics, and the ability to adjust the presents/volume of vocals within Apple Music tracks, but it is hilarious to hear voiceover read in real time the lyrics to songs. For example, i’m a Barbie girl:

OK, that is nice. If you change the voice to woman that be cool. Where is Ela when you need her.

I didn't know whether to laugh or to cry, or even to pull out my hair while listening to the audio you posted, drew. Having Voiceover read lyrics out loud almost to the music, especially when it's such a song with... um... interesting lyrics, was hilarious ! It honestly reminded me of someone who sing talks all the time on TV. Hope you all got the reference.
Anyway, I don't know if having the lyrics read out loud is a good thing or not. If one has a braille display, they could disable speech, but I'd be super distracted and wouldn't be able to sing with the lyrics being read out like that, even with headphones on. I couldn't complain though. At least they thought of a way for us to read and understand the lyrics better. If anything, it's probably good to play a song at least, so that maybe you can finally understand the true words spoken in a song, instead of the twisted version you've carried with you in the past. :)

This is hilarious, thanks for posting!
My question, it seems like Voiceover is reading the lyrics at the same time as the song would sing them. If you were doing karaoke, wouldn't you need the lyric read before you needed to sing it?
In any case, hearing the speech read these lyrics is just too good!

Sorry if I spelled your name wrong. Youtube Mrs. Miller, then you'll have a whole new perspective on singing.

VoiceOver does not read lyrics in real time to me; I was also expecting BRAILLE to follow lyrics, but it doesn't!
It actually indicates when a verse is selected, yes, but I expected my Braille display to read it line by line; I had to follow then manually, losing time and forcing me to use the ancient method - learn lyrics by heart and you never go wrong

If you want VoiceOver to read lyrics, you need to turn media descriptions on in the VoiceOver settings. It's the last option under verbosity settings. You can set it to speech, or to speech and Braille.

I sent this to some of my coworkers letting them know this is the voice I get to listen to every day at work. Now they know the wonders of Eloquence. On a side note, I've been doing this for years, trying to sing songs I am not completely sure of the lyrics by listening to the iPhone and try and compute the lyrics at the appropriate time. It's always been mixed results. I can't wait to try it out with 16.2. Thanks for posting this link.
