Apple Calendar is not talking to Google calendar

Hello, every one! Hope you're staying, safe, healthy, and depending where you are, either warm, cool, or dry. I've got a question about Google Calendar and Apple Calendar. Running an Ipad 7, and every thing is up-to-date.
So, I've been on the hunt for a calendar app that's easier to usethan the Apple Calendar app. Someone recommended Google Calendar. So, took the plunge, and I found with the little bit of testing I have done, it fits the bill for most if not all requirements. Big one being easy event creation especially with repeating events. However, I've had some frustrations setting it up. First, the problem was Google not syncing with Apple. We got it fixed. Which, brings me to my current frustration, which, I'm hoping you can help me out with solving.

So, as I said, I got Google syncing with Apple. But, for some reason, Apple will NOT talk to Google. Apple Calendar will not sync with Google Calendar! I reached out to Google through Be My Eyes, and while they could help get syncing one way they couldn't help with the current issue. So, basically, we're 50% of the way there.
Has anyone else had this experience? If so, how did you get those 2 to play nice with each other? If that's possible? :-) Because Google syncs with Apple, but Apple will NOT sync with Google. So, how do I get it fixed the rest of the way?
Because I don't care about past events. All I need are current and future events synced. So, ny help you guys can give would be greatly appreciated! As this has been an ongoing source of frustration all week, and turned into a real pain in a certain body part. Should I just go with another calendar app? Because I've tried Fantastical, and I had issues of time-traveling. It'd take me either to 2024 or 2020 whenever I tried scrolling up or down by day. Plus, when exploring by touch, I could never get the focus right. And this happened even AFTER the update they released to fix focus issues with VO.
I'd rather not go with another app mainly because the searching process has been frustrating in of itself. But, also, because Google seems to fit most if not all requirements that I have, with emphasis on easy creation of events. Although I do have a couple other questions about Google Calendar, I'll post them in another thread on here, if and when I can get syncing issues fixed. Thank you all in advance for any and all help you can give.
