Hi guys, I have two iPhones a 6 and 8. Now on my 6 I don't need to go into the app store app and double tap the updates tab to see if I have any updates. It tells me before I go into the app. Much like messages may say 2 unread. On my iPhone 8 and before that the 6S I have to go into the update tab to see if I have any updates available. Is there a setting I need turned on? I've checked and can find nothing. Both phone are on ios 11.4. Any help appreciated as I suppose this could be a bug but it is odd.

It is odd
So it really is odd, but I have the same problem. If you have your phone set for manual app update downloads as I do, then what I have to do is go into the app store, select updates, then I usually have to make the screen refresh before I get an accurate count of how many apps need to be updated. Very strange.
Same Here
I have exactly the same situation on my iPhone 7 running 11.4. However, it's nothing new. It's been this way for some time. I have manual updates set because I want to control when an update takes place. Preferably, that's after I check here to see if the update breaks something. So, for me, it's not a big deal that I have to refresh when I feel like checking for, and performing, app updates.
In fact, it's sort of a slot machine game I play. I go in, and refresh, hoping that maybe something cool has been updated. Ha.
i have the same
Hi,
I have exactly the same.
It is interesting that in some beta, public 11.3 it worked for a while.
Now, however, the problem still occurs and as you write, I have to go into the appstore, on the updates card and refresh the screen.
