Ever sense I updated to ios six, the app store has crashed every time I do a search for apps. I have tried restoring my ipod and even that didn't fix the problem. Is there some way to fix this problem, and if so, now?
Don't keep restoring iPod. I already let Apple know about this. When you try to search,app closes. There is a temporary fix for you.
1. Open App Store and hit any tab accept search.
2. Hold down power button until it tells you to swipe to turn off. Don't turn off. Instead hold down the home key until it closes the app.
3. Re-open app and you should be able to search again. Good Luck!
Fortunately this crashing is likely not to be a voiceover issue. We could not rule out any hidden voiceover issue involved, however if you do a google search for app store crashing ios 6 you get results including the one described here. This at least strongly suggests it is a mainstream issue.
I've just noticed this issue as well. When I first updated to IOS 6, I did not have this problem. I was perfectly able to search for apps. It seems the problem occurred after Apple updated the app store, a few days after IOS 6 came out. I really hope they fix this soon, because the quick fix in this post doesn't seem to work for me.
