App Purchase Error While Trying To Update/Download Free Apps

Hello

I checked the app store for updates to some apps but I got the following message while updating:

"iTunes dialog
There is a billing problem with a previous purchase. Enter your Apple ID and password, then click Purchase History to view and correct the problem. If you cancel you will not be able to buy music until this billing issue has been resolved."

I did make purchases over the past week yet they all went through. My question is why am I being restricted from even updating and/or downloading free apps?

Your best bet is to contact iTunes Store Support, I will post a link from the E-Mail I received from the support staff. i had a problem last week with two purchases I made. There seemed to be a problem with credit card processing, so the purchases failed... or so I thought. Apple took my money but I did not get the items I purchased. I don't really know what happened so I contacted iTunes Store Support about it. It seemed to have resolved itself though as I got the money back after a week. I hope your problem will get resolved... again, I recommend that you contact iTunes Store Support about this.
