App for multiple and daily reminders

Hello everyone,
I am looking for an app that will let me create daily reminders. My mom passed away this past Saturday. Right now it is my dad, me and my son in the house. We are having a bit of a hard time remembering when to do things at the present moment. I am looking for an app that I can use to make multiple reminders that can be set to go off either daily or certain times during the week. Thanks for any help.

Regards,

It could be done with the calendar app, the reminders app, or the notes app. HTH.

Hi there! I'm sorry for your loss. I'm sure life is very difficult for you right now. I believe that an app called Alarmed should meet your needs perfectly. It's free, very VO friendly, and you can definitely set up multiple repeting alarms, reminders or whatever else you need. I use this app to remind me to schedule my paratransit trips every week. I like that you can set it up to nag you every minute until you actually do whatever it's reminding you to do. Naturally, this functionality is entirely optional, but it works well for me. I think if you're looking for maximum flexibility with a fairly simple user interface, Alarmed is probably the best app you'll find out there.

Hi Greg,
Let me begin by saying that I am sorry to hear of your loss. I hope that You and Your Family are OK.
With regards to your question, I agree with the first comment, the inbuilt Apple Apps should fulfil your needs.
For off the cuff Reminders, I use Reminders and SIRI. It's as easy as "Hey SIRI, at 10 am Remind me to take a Tablet" or "Hey SIRI, Remind me Thursday to pay my Electricity Bill".
For Weekly tasks, I either use the Alarms on my Phone/Watch or Calendar. Each has the ability to name the Alarm/Reminder and to set multiple repeats.
One final thing that I have set up recently is some shared Lists in reminders. I have named one "Shopping List" and the other "Things to do". It's then just a matter of saying "Hey SIRI Add Milk to Shopping List" and then everyone in the house can access the reminder when at the shops. Super handy.

Hello,
Can someone give instructions on how to use Siri for the shopping list? This intrigues me greatly. That was one of the big things my mom did. Every Sunday she got the grocery list together for going grocery shopping on Monday. It would be really handy to be able to tell Siri to add something to a shopping list.

To create a shopping list or any other note, using the notes app, you can either open the notes app and locate the create new note button or you can use Siri to create it. I recommend the first line of the note to be called whatever it will be used for. For example, if you want to create a note for a grocery list, then the first line of the note should be called grocery list. Then, when using Siri to add milk to the grocery list, all you do is activate Siri and say something like, add milk to grocery list note. If you don't say the name of the note, along with the word "note" at the end of the request, then Siri will not know where to place the item.

I use this all the time and it's a fabulous way to utilize Siri on the fly. Another thing I use this for is recording receipts when I'm out shopping. To do this, I create a note called receipts. Then, when I have a new receipt in hand, I activate Siri and say something like Add Walmart $39.95 to receipts note. Then, when I arrive back home, I can update my checkbook spreadsheet.

Hi Greg,

With regards to creating a Shopping List, I do almost exactly the same as the above Poster, but instead of Notes, I use the Reminders App.
From inside Reminders, I created a List and named it Shopping List.
I then clicked on the Share Button and entered the Contact details of Family members.
Soon after, they received notifications that a Reminders list had been shared with them.
From this point on, any of us can add items to the list with SIRI.
"Hey SIRI, Add whatever to Shopping List." NB No need to say Note, as instructed above, as the list is in Reminders App, not Notes.
Now, we can also all review and delete items from the list. Be aware, however, that removing items cannot be done with SIRI. They need to be edited manually.
Also, some troubleshooting was required when another User already had a Shopping List in Reminders, so maybe a more unique name may be better.

Hello Greg, You are in my prayers. And, to add my answer to your question, I use Siri for reminders. I say something like, "Remind me at such and such a time to whatever." Hope that's helpful too Prayers continue for you and your family.
