The easiest way to delete an app is to move your finger onto the app you wish to delete, do a one finger double tap and hold until VoiceOver says "Started Editing". Making sure you are on the Actions rotor, do a one finger double tap and then you should get the dialog box asking you if you want to delete. Swipe with one finger until you reach the Delete button. Then do a one finger double tap to delete. Then press the home button to exit editing. HTH!

I just switched carriers which meant getting a new iPhone 8. I can't seam to move or delete apps. I could on my older phone. It's not the end of the world, but annoying non the less.

When I have VO and Zoom enabled at the same time, I am unable to delete apps from the Homescreen. Turn off zoom if you have them both enabled, and it should work correctly.

The easiest thing to do is to go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage. From there, double tap the app you want removed. On the resulting page, go to the bottom and double tap the Delete button.

Turning off 3d touch in accessibility settings makes double-tapping and holding easier as it won't matter at that point how hard you are holding your finger on the screen and you won't inadvertently perform a 3d touch. Thanks for the suggestion on going to settings, general, iphone, storage. I didn't know about that option.
