Hi, subject says it all really I just would also like to add that I somehow change this in settings but cannot find anywhere how to change this back. Any help with this would be appreciated. As the subject says, i’m getting a sound in quick succession three times after certain elements. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does this happen on, say, your home screen? If so, I know what that sound is. It's voiceover's way of telling you that actions with the rotor are available, so you can swipe up and down to see what they are.
Hope this helps!

No, unfortunately it does not however it does occasionally happen in the app switcher. But not all the time. Thanks so much for your help with this I really appreciate it. Also happens on other things. For example when I’m reading news articles but it’s not necessarily when there is a link either.

Would you say the sound has a low, medium or high pitch? If you for instance perform a two finger swipe left, is the sound lower than the one you hear with that gesture?

I would say a medium pitch, in fact, if that means anything to you, it’s the note above middle C on a piano. sorry wasn’t meaning to be offensive when I said that but was just letting you know how I heard the note Sorry if that came out wrong.

Just to add to what’s been said here so far, something else I’ve noticed is when I’m in Safari and I go down to the bottom of the screen The back button and the address bar made that noise after VoiceOver finished speaking

A client's phone had this issue, and even after calling Apple Disability support we could not figure out what it was or how to stop it. I wish I had an answer for you. All I can say is you're not alone in this odd behavior.

Hello,
can you go to VoiceOver settings/verbosity/actions and make sure play sound isn't selected?
You can choose VO to speak actions available instead.

I know you said it doesn't happen on your home screen, but there is a bug that makes the sound not play in certain cases, which Apple accessibility team nicely confirmed when I reported it, but never got around to fixing.

HeyNikola and everyone, thanks so much for your help with this. Your suggestion to disable sound on actions in the verbosity settings seems to have fixed it. You’re a champion. That was really getting to bug me. So thank you so much for your help with this. And thank you to everyone else who has helped me with this problem. Really appreciate this community.
