hi are there any apps or helpful ways of decoding those scrambled codes some websites ask yuo to do using a i phone and voice over ?? thanks in advance
Boy do I wish there was one afp like that or that the captchas would work with voiceover! But unfortunately, I don't think there's an app like that out there (or at least not one that I'm aware of).
I did hear about something that has some promose & is actually in use right now. Google is either testing or using a knew captcha that relies on machien learning where all you have to do it check the box that says that you're human & not a robot. When you're checking that box, it monitors your machine & other things so there will be no need for other verification!
Here's a couple of solutions that may work in the meantime.
1. Maybe you could take a screenshot of your device & upload it to an app like Identifi? I've never tried this, so I'm uniure how well it'd work.
2. If you have another ios. device, you could try using an app like Be My Eyes & having someone else rad the captcha to you. I think that'd be your best bet.
I despize these things with every fiber of my being too, so I do feel your pain! I'm sorry that I couldn't be of any other assistance to you. But I do hope that at least 1 or both solutions will be workable for you.
For now, your best bet is probably to use Firefox with the Web Visum extension on Windows, even through Bootcamp if you have a Mac. I do believe every visually impaired Mac user does have to use Windows at least every now and then anyway. For the future, I've heard that Captcha be Gone is working on porting their extension to other browsers, including Apple Safari, as well.
