Adjusting the charge limit bug with Voiceover

Hello can anyone please help me? I am facing a problem with adjusting a slider for the charging limit. For example if I want to set a limit to 90, now voiceover only calls out the options like 75, 50, 25 or 0. I tried dubble tap and hold to adjust it but doesn't work. I also reseted voiceover settings but that also didn't work. Is this a bug? If anyone knows the answer please let me know. Thank you.

I reported here and to Apple something very similar. You can no longer change the speed of VO apart from the slider 5% incraments. Double tap and hold used to allow you to choose any percent now no more. Suspect your issue is exactly the same thing. Report to Apple.

Hi @Lee,
I have no idea what you're talking about but I do not think this is the same issue. Still, good on you for reporting it.
@Edvard, what you're seeing is likely an oversight. However, the battery charge limit is being adjusted.; The slider being at 0% means it is limiting itself to 80% of your battery for charging. 25% on the slider equals 85%, 50% is 90% charge, 75% is 95% charge and 100% is... well, 100%.
I know it's a bit confusing, but I hope this helps.

@Gar so is this how it now shows in iOS 26 what you've described? How did you figure this out cause yeah it does sound a bit confusing. I hope they can fix this soon and bring it back to the way it was before.

HI Edvard,
Ironically, I just went to check the charging settings because I can't remember exactly what it was voiceover said. On iOS 26.1 beta 3 though, the issue seems to be fixed.
From what I remember though, I figured it out because voiceover read the values of the sliders openly. It said something like... 80%, 85%, 90%, 95%, 100%, then gave the 0, 25, 50, 75 or 100% value, and I was able to reconcile the two to match from there.
Hope this helps.

I have an automation set up to let me know when the battery's charged, and because of this bug of showing numbers only in increments of ten, I can't use it.

Fixed on my side as well on 26.1 beta 3. Hope they do not break this again. Looking forward to have this fixed on my 17 when the final 26.1 arrives. On my beta device phoneon the lock screen, it seems to indicate the amount of time to charge until 80% and my charging limit is set to 90. Probably a beta bug. I'm running it on my 16e.
