How does one add a contact to Contacts from a text message? I went into my message window and double-tapped on the number, but I see no Add Contact thing when the contact’s info comes up.

I don’t know if this is the proper way because it seems a bit rubbish but it works and I can’t find any other way of doing it. I go to the number at the top, when the drop down appears offering to call etc, I call then magic tap straight away to cancel the call. It’s never connected yet in many years of doing this. So hit call, the phone starts to make the phone call then within half a second or so magic tap. Now the number is at the top of the recent calls list in Phone and you can add it to your contacts as normal.

To add a contact from a text message, tap the phone number at the top of the message, tap Info, and then tap Create New Contact. To add a contact from a recent phone call, open the Phone app, tap Recents, tap the "i" in a circle, then tap Create New Contact.Jun 26, 2023

I can’t believe I’ve never noticed the info button. I just had my way of doing it and always done that. Thanks for showing me the right way.
