Hi, sorry if this may have been asked before...
I just got the new iPhone 12, and I must say, the VoiceOver's screen recognition feature is kind of cool. But, when I turned this feature on for apps, I can't seem to activate the on-screen controls, like buttons.
How do I activate these on-screen controls while keeping screen recognition enabled? Is there specific gestures I do need to perform in order to activate these on-screen controls?
Edit: Just to clarify, basically what happens is that when I tried to double-tap on an on-screen control, nothing happens, even though VoiceOver's screen recognition feature identifies such control as a button. Sometimes this works, but other times double-tapping on the control does not activate it.
Many thanks.

Use Screen Recognition sparingly
While Screen Recognition is kind of neat, it can actually break app functionality with the way it tries to interpret interfaces. If you know what the button does, I suggest you label the button with the label element command (two-finger double-tap and hold) so you can give it a label, then put screen recognition into your rotor in VoiceOver settings so you can quickly toggle it on and off.
Nice idea
That is actually a good idea, thanks for the suggestion.
I think Apple should improve on this feature, so that it works more reliably in future iOS updates.
