For the passed few months, I have been looking into getting a VPN, particularly one which covers a huge selection of countries (beyond 12 locations).
So far, I have attempted to use
<a href="http://www.zenmate.com/" target="_blank">Zenmate</a>
to satisfy that need, primarily because

that seems to be kind of popular these days.
I wanted to see if it was accessible, and to a huge extent, it actually was. That includes the iOS and OS X applications. The only issue I ran into while using the 7-day Premium trial was that I couldn't select some of the countries further down the list without clicking, but their support was very excellent. it took me several days to rule this one out.

<li>Very bad reviews: despite access, I still wanted to make sure that I got what I'd be paying for, so these were worth looking up. I'm not one to take reviews at face value, so I went to try it first.</li>
<li> Small number of locations: I wanted a good list to pick from, and my home country, Denmark, was not among them, so that ruled it out almost instantly.</li>
<li> A fairly recent startup as far as I understand it: now, I don't mind this, but it does limit my uses of it. Also, something that the reviews pointed out is that the pool of IP-addresses was limited, so it sometimes meant downtime until an IP-address was rotated.</li>

The second VPN solution I tried to use was

which is also a deal on a

which claim to fame is that it is "the world's fastest." Now, I don't know if that is true, because I never actually got to use it. the iOS application never showed any of the user interface to VoiceOver at all, and VoiceOver just acted as if there was nothing visible on the screen. The OS X application was better because it actually showed me a table where I could view latest news, pick locations and so forth. Whether I was actually connected is anybody's guess, though, since I got an authentication failure despite entering correct credentials. While browsing news from the table in the category, it would open each article in Safari as I tried to just read their titles and getting in my way.
It also claims that it has a ton of locations, but a lot of countries only showed one server you could choose. Granted, PureVPN does have a lot of countries listed, but the authentication failure potentially suggests that some of them are inoperable. After that, I didn't think to look for reviews, but I did write them concerning their applications.
So, bottom line is this—if anyone has a VPN solution you use which is fast, reliable and offers a variety of locations, please comment. I'm very interested. I need them to work across devices, including OS X and iOS.
I know there have been several threads on this before in the iOS forum, but they didn't seem to include a lot of details for other platforms since it is iOS only, naturally. I could dig through and try each one, but I'll ask here first. I'm sure some of you are bound to use a solution which works across both platforms. I also do not care if I have to pay for it, as long as it offers this:

<li>Reliability; I want to know that I can connect at any time during the day without any issues a majority of the time, and maintain a good amount of speed</li>
<li>Secure; the latest protocols, and knowing that IPV6 leakage is minimized, as there was trouble with this from a lot of commercial venders not even a year ago causing a lot of traffic to be easier to intercept (I'd like to avoid PPTP with MS-CHAPv2)</li>
<li>Plenty of locations; since I'm from Denmark, I particularly want that location to be on there (definitely more than 12 locations)</li>

Looking forward to what everyone has to say on this. I'm also happy to be corrected on anything I've said so far, such as the IPV6 leakage which venders might have sorted out by routing traffic differently these days as they should have done to begin with. This was an issue when I started looking for one, so I held off, but I'm hoping this can change with your input.
