Hey all, I've got a jailbroken IPhone 5 and abhor ITunes. Any suggestions as to what I could use as an alternative?

Unfortunately, I don't know of an easy way to replace iTunes, even when jailbroken. However, If you install both iFile and Gremlin Framework from Cydia, it's possible to import music from your computer to your iPhone without using iTunes. Once both are installed, simply upload your music files to a directory on your phone and use iFile to import them. Your music will then be available in the standard music app.

To import using iFile, open iFile and locate the files you uploaded. When VoiceOver speaks the name of one of the files, slide your finger to the right until you find the more info button. Double tap that button, and scroll down until you find the button labeled add to iPod library. Double tap once more, and the song will be added to the music library. Repeat until all songs have been added.

Why not use Bridge? You can put songs in any app like dropbox, ubi disk or email them to yourself, then bridge has an open in option and you can open songs, tones and podcasts from other apps into Bridge and Bridge will put them in your iPod library

Hi there, Another Cydia tweak you could use is PwnTunes for iOS 7. I haven't used it personally but the description says that it allows you to manage your device's music, photos and videos on any computer without using iTunes. It looks like you might not even have to use iFile to import the songs to your music library, I could be wrong though. Regards!
