An accessible app that checks day of the week in the past

Hello,
As stated in the subject line, I'm looking for a really simple app in which I can check the day of the week of a particular date. Please give me some ideas.

Hi Malcolm, Thank you for the date picker. It workss fine. As regards siri, I don't like talking to phone, neither I use dictation for inserting text. Anyway, thank you both for your suggestions. Greetings, Rafal
Just tried out the Date Picker app. It's quicker to just ask Siri. Deleted it. And, I got a message that Date Picker will not be compatible with iOS 11.
Try this one. It's accessible, and even though it's almost 2 years old, it's new enough to be able to run under the next operating system.

Maybe I don't quite understand what you're asking for, but as far as I can tell, everything you need is right there on your phone allready in Apple's stock calendar app. I just checked, and found out that I was born on a friday in october 1982.
No need for any extra app for this to take up space on your phone, when it's allready there. Unless there's something about your question that I don't understand right...

These two mentioned apps day of the week and datepicker are nice. I've never tried this option in the native callendar app but I'll try it one day. The point with siri is that it doesn't support Polish language and just for this function I don't want to change phone settings. Clifford my point was to find an app in which I can quickly and easily select a particular date and check it. Hope this is clear. Once again, thank you all for your answers. Have a good day!
Yeah, that's what I thought. The native calendar app let's you do that with ease, if you don't like to use Siri, as also have been suggested. I would ho with the calendar app, which already sits right there on your phone. :)
I've opened the native callendar app but couldn't find the way of doing it. Instead, I could go back year by year and then search for a particular date. Imagine how long it would take to find 1st September, 1939, for instance. So please tell us how to do it step-by-step. Thanks in advance!
Yeah, I can kind of see your point if you want to go back far in time... But what I do, is just to hit the back button untill I'm on the screen where all the months in a year is displayed in a 3 by 4 grid. And then I use three fingers to scroll down untill I reach the year I want, and then find the right month in the grid.
But scrolling can be a bit slow with the VoiceOver gesture, i.e. scrolling with three fingers, and each scroll downwards take you back one year, as far as I can tell. So you can actually count number of scrolls while scrolling, and then not have to check what year you're on between each scroll.
So if you e.g. want to find a date in 1997, a quick calculation using my awesome brain, tells me that I need to scroll down 20 times, and then hopefully I have then arrived at the magic year of 1997.
A different approach, if you want to go faster and further back in time, would be to turn VO off, and then scroll as fast as you can with one finger for a while, and then turn VO back on to check how far back you have reached. So If you want to check a day in 1939, I would have turned VO off and scroll with one finger for a while, then turn VO back on and check. And lets say I then was at 1972, I would turn VO off again and continue scrolling with one finger for a while. But lets say I then turned VO on to check and I had come to the year 1949. Then I would probably keep VO on and scroll the last 10 years with VO on, to have more control the last distance back to 1939.
Hope this makes sence. The idea is that you can scroll much faster with one finger than with VO on, when you have to use 3 fingers instead.

Hi all. Some time ago I posted the above query and Sarah recomended me the Day of the week. I was able to download it in August but now this app is not in the Polish App store, it is only in the U.S. Of course, I can switch to another location but I'd rather use the app available in any other location. Any ideas since datepicker might not be useful with iOS 11. Thanks in advance.

Just ask Siri something like "what day was it on march 13 2014". The only problem with that is if you don't have an Internet connection

SIRI works great for this
As someone else said, no need for a special app here. SIRI does the job for any date, past or future.

Will return the result:

Day of the week is not yet in Polish App Store
Hi all. Some time ago I posted the above query and Sarah recomended me the Day of the week. easiest way to check
Use Siri. Just ask "On what day of the week was January 1, 1776?" and Siri will give you the day of the week.
