have any of you ever use the LingQ app? And if you did, how accessible did you find it to be with voiceover. For those of you who don’t know this is an app for learning languages, and I decided to give it a try along with a few other resources I’m using to learn German. I’ve noticed that there are a few unlabeled buttons and places, but for the most part, I don’t know if some of these things are Accessability issues or if it just comes down to me not being acquainted with how the app works.

I tried it out
I tried out LingQ a while back, but it wasn't really accessible enough for me to bother with. It was useable but the interface is really clunky. If buttons are unlabelled it means parts of the app aren't accessible out of the box. You might get better luck with screen recognition.
LingQ
Yes, I have tried the LingQ app to learn Russian. It’s okay, not great but not terrible. I did find some unlabeled buttons, which made it a bit tricky with VoiceOver.
Screen recognition, and other thoughts
IHave used screen recognition and to some degree? It does seem to help. Although I think I spend as much time trying to figure out the interface ans actually learning the language with LingQ. The reason I wanted to try it is because of the huge library of content they have. The interesting thing about language learning resources is that there are those that are good, but not the most accessible like link, and then there are those that are very accessible, but not necessarily good. Like Duolingo, for instance.
LingQ app
If you're serious about LingQ, I would stick to the iOS app, their website is much much worse. The app is probably the sort of thing I would use if I really wanted to get into this particular method for learning because it's OK, but the website I probably wouldn't because it's so messy.
LingQ app
Thanks for the feedback. I wondered that the website would be any better or worse than the appThanks for the feedback. I wondered that the website would be any better or worse than the app. I like the idea of using this because of the wide variety of content, but it’s not the primary source I use for learning German. The only reason for that is because if I did that I would spend more time fighting the interface then actually learning German with it..
