accessibility issues with Roborock S8 Pro and VoiceOver on iOS

Hello everyone,

I am a user of the Roborock S8 Pro and I am currently experiencing some significant accessibility hurdles with the Roborock app on my iPhone 13 (running the latest iOS version). I’ve seen YouTube videos from other visually impaired users where VoiceOver seems to work perfectly with these elements, but that is not the case for me.

I am looking for any solutions or workarounds for the following two issues:

Unlabeled Map and Room Selection: I have successfully mapped my home, but VoiceOver does not announce any part of the map. Furthermore, in the room selection area (e.g., Living Room, Hallway), VoiceOver remains silent. This makes it impossible for me to select specific rooms for targeted cleaning.

Unlabeled Cleaning Modes: In the cleaning settings screen, the individual buttons for suction power and water flow are not being read. For example, VoiceOver only announces the currently selected state (e.g., "Vacuum Max"). It does not announce the individual options below the header, such as Turbo, Turbo Plus, or Max, unless they are already selected. I cannot hear the options while navigating through them to make a choice.

What I have tried so far:
I have already tried using the "Screen Recognition" (VoiceOver Recognition) feature on my iPhone 13, but unfortunately, it did not have any effect and the elements remained unlabeled.

I would like to be able to navigate the map and select my cleaning modes independently. Has anyone else encountered this recently? Is there a specific setting in the app or a certain way to label these buttons manually that I might have missed?

Thank you in advance for your help!

I do not use this application however you can try labeling a button, icon etc. using this feature:
Navigate to where you think the button or icon is and press and hold with two fingers where a dialogue box will pop up and you can type in the name you want to use.
Be worn though it doesn't always work and it doesn't always stay but it might help! Good luck Cara
