2 finger double tap to answer/end calls not always working, anyone else?

With a new 12 Mini running the latest update does anyone else have the issue of the two finger double tap not working to answer or hang up calls?
Thank you
I'm on an iPhone 11 running iOS 14.2 and I have this as well. I thought I was going insane. Sometimes it gets interpreted as a three-finger double tap. I wonder if it's my screen protector.
I honestly don't know any VoiceOver users who haven't complained of the unreliability of the two-finger double tap. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it works on the second try. Sometimes it doesn't work at all and you need to drag around the screen to find the answer or hangup buttons.
If you're ending a call, and the person you were talking to hangs up a fraction of a second before you perform the two-finger double tap, then iOS starts playing music or an audiobook. Then you have to two-finger double tap to stop that from playing, and guess what? It's just as unreliable in that context as with phone calls.
hey
it has always worked for me in turms of calls. but whenever I try to play music through spotify or any podcast it is sometimes unreliable but that's not too often.
I want the side or power button to work. That didn't make you look like the blind idiots we all look like. Yes, I meant it. Come on. Do you see someone else being this way? No? That's why. Apple is fast becoming a product I will do without. Why? Price tag, to many fingers in a pie and the best idea yet, is I'd rather ask sighed help then deal with all this junk.
I've noticed it, and sometimes it's easier to just hit the end call button right under the 0. It isn't hard to find when you know where it is. I'm starting to notice that it turns on the music o c casionally. Usually the double tap works fine, but it's harder for me to answer a call than it is to hang up.
It's unreliable, and makes us look more different than our blindness sets apart already. I can not wait until they figure out something else because it's a god awful way of doing things. I either wait for them to hang up, or i just hope no one sees when I tap like that. But hey, we're fascinating! said with sarcasm.
The more I use it, the more I realize that it's most unreliable during phonecalls. I don't get it. Pausing and resuming media playback is near flawless, save for the occasional misinterpreted 3-finger tap that turns off speech or the phone getting confused on whether you want to play music or start voice typing. Hell, it works pretty reliably on answering phonecalls. It's just ending them that gives me real trouble. Sometimes it works. Sometimes I have to tap again. I don't really get it, but it's not annoying enough that I'm going to peel off my screen protector just to run tests. Maybe someone on Apple's accessibility team can figure it out if we shoot them an email?

I have that with XR
I normally do it again and it works the second time.

A problem for as long as I can remember

Positioning does nothing
