I stumbled upon an interesting article on the Mac Life website. It has some good advice on how to play Papa Sangre.

The article is here.

Basically it offers 3 main tips:

  1. find a quiet room
  2. get desensitized
  3. don't trip

Hope somebody finds this helpful.

Anybody got any other good tips?

Ok-so I can't figure out how to make my guy run with voiceover enabled-double tapping each foot is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too slow. There's obviously a faster way-anyone wanna enlighten me?
Well, there is no good way of making the guy run with VO turned on. I have also tried it, and it does not work well. I think playing the game with VO off would be your best bet. Even with Vo off, the game is very easy to play with. Hope this somewhat helped.
Hi! Here's another tip to help make playing Papa Sangre easier, which I learned about the hard way: be sure to have your headphones or earbuds the right way round. One day I played Papa Sangre with my earbuds in the wrong ears, and all I did was end up banging into walls, not finding the musical notes, and, not surprisingly, getting killed by the monsters. So, every time I've played the game since then, I've made sure my earbuds were in the correct ears.
