Swordy quest, annoyed at lack of short term goals?

As someone who loves completing quests and missions in games, I really enjoyed the initial phase of swordy quest, wandering around the world, crafting items, defeating bosses, gathering scrolls which revealed more of the story.

The problem I find is that after defeating the dragon, trying out the quests at the various castles crafting all the stuff I can, the game feels pointless, since the only things to aim for are so insanely hard to get, or take so much timethe game feels pretty pointless.

The action page quest nudge continually tells me to "defeat all creatures in the beyond", however to get two of them to appear I have to defeat 1000 sharks and 1000 dragons (currently defeated about 70 sharks and 12 dragons).

I am currently level 70, and have crafted all of the things I can (I just finished killing one boss 10 times, one boss 15 times and one dragon 4 times to construct something for my home.

I don't have a hope in hell of catching anyone on either the coin or levels leaderboards as yet, making basic grinding tasks feel less than useful, and while yes, I can try and kill as many creatures in the infinite as I can, that's still pretty much a game of roulette as to which maps I get and which creatures I find.

It is not that I mind working in games, but it just seems with swordyquest after defeating the dragon, and to a lesser extent crafting the home items, the game feels so open ended as to make progression seem not worth trying for.

I really wish there were some smaller scale goals to aim for, EG defeat 100 sharks, defeat 50 dragons, search 50 areas, etc, longer than the basic skull castle quests, but shorter than what are essentially hidden secrets, indeed I've always enjoyed progression in games most where I can alternate between different activities and still progress with things.

I really hope more shorter term goals to work for get added to the game later, or indeed some real rrewards for gaining levels, since I actually do enjoy the gameplay elements of swordy quest, I just find the massive gap between even say building a home item requiring 15 different boss defeats, let alone completing a quests to kill 8 monsters, and the massive long term goals of killing 1000 dragons or sharks, or randomly getting lucky with infinite map and monster roulette nearly 200 times rather disheartening.
