I just discovered today that The Night jar, Audio Defense, and the two Papa Sangre games by Somethin' Else have completely disappeared from the App Store. you can still play the games if there are on your phone or iPad, however, you cannot re-download them anymore if they have been deleted. I was going to download The Nightjar again and replay it, but discovered that the app had vanished, thankfully I still have the other three games buy Somethin' Else on my iPhone 7. We all knew this day was coming, but it's kind of sad to know that when I get my next iPhone, I won't be able to play these four wonderful games again. Well, the good news is that we still have other fun and engaging games, like Timecrest, to take the sting out of losing papa Sangre I, The Nightjar, Papa Sangre II, and Audio Defense. I will miss them, but hopefully other people will use the Papa Engine and create other totally awesome games for us to enjoy!

I'm not surprised. They pulled these games a year or so ago, and supposedly made the papa engine open source, as far as I am aware thats the current status on things.

so, as the subject suggests, you actually can download the games and play them. first you need,
1. a .ipa file wich I have,
2. an app for the mac (possible avalible on windows called iMazing),
3. either your ipa file or a device with he games or apps you wish to transfer.

next, if you have the ipa file on your computer, you can open iMasing, click on your device that you want the app to be transfered to, then, click import .IPA. before you do this, please make sure you have the .ipa file, or another device with the ipa files on it. nextafter you click on manage apps, you should see the oppsion to add the ipa file to your library. once it's in the library, you will be able to insal it on a device.
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE TRYING!

You will have to had the games before, or an apple id of some who did. iMasing is going to ask you to enter the apple id that you used to perchis the games. If you don't have the apple id, the games will crash.

hope you have enjoied reading this, and also, have fun killing zombies, falling in to colapsed stars, and playing these old games, as good as new.
also, as an extra bonus, you can play them on m1 macs.
bet you never saw that comming... :-)

sory for some of the typos... spell check wasn't working...

signing off,
Levi

I know they said they open sourced the engine, but I'm surprised no one took it to create with it. That thing was wonderful for its time.

Those were my favorite iOS games of all time. Still. And the engine produced the most immersive game sound I've ever heard. No hyperbole here. :-)
