Good morning to everyone!
(First of all, this is a job offer, feel free to remove if it doesn't follow the rules!)
My name is Diego and I'm part of myTrueSound, a videogame company which mainly develops accessible videogames. Right now we finished our new game, AudioWizards which you can buy from Play Store and App Store. Here you have a closer look to the game dynamics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PODJ6XMg3Mc
Anyway, we were looking for a Spanish voice actor which could give voice to our main character, who will guide you through the story. He's Saundaman, an eccentric old wizard.
Here you can find the game trailer and how Saundaman sounds right now in English: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45fRbzuUgwg
The work itself consists of giving voice to Saundaman throughout 20 levels. The words in each level varies from 150 up to 600 (this is the longest level, if I recall correctly).
Obviously, there will be a compensation since all the files and rights will be then owned by myTrueSound. The voice actor will be given 300€ via PayPal and his name or contact information will be displayed in the credits.
To participate you will be given below an extract from the Spanish script, you will have to record yourself giving voice to Saundaman (you can be as creative as you please! There's no need to make the exact same voice as in English but please, at least one of those files should be with a neutral accent) and send the file (or files if you want to record yourself with different voices) to our email address: contact@mytruesound.com
The offer will be valid until January 30th 2020
Hope we can find the next voice actor.
Sincerely,
Diego Peribáñez from myTrueSound team

Script extract
Good morning everyone,
I got the script extract already. I'll post it here for everyone to check it quickly and think about how to give him voice.
Here:
“Oh, ¡buenas la-parte-que-sea-del-día! Al fin has llegado.
Good luck to everyone!

The script extract has been posted, please find it on the previous post!
And remember, you can use an external microphone using your computer or phone and the built-in recorder, then send the audio file(s) via email to contact@mytruesound.com with any other information to contact you.
Thank you very much,

A couple tips and a question
I might be stepping on toes here, but I say this in the spirit of good will, and the hopes it will help. Much of this is common sense, but lots of people see "voice work wanted" and immediately thrust forward their submissions without a little forethought. For context, I was the English voice of Principal Retori in Audio Wizards, and I have done other voice work before. To anyone submitting for this role, please, don't use your phone's built-in microphone, and for all that is holy, definetly don't use your computer's built in one either. You could turn in a blockbuster performance, but if the recording is of poor quality, you're going to heap undue work on the sound editor to make it sound passable, let alone good. If you have the know-how to submit a nicely recorded and edited recording, great. If you don't, might I offer a few basic tips to get you started?
1. Record in silence - no dogs, no hogs, no children, TVs, fans or fridges. The quieter, the better. If you have an appliance, unplug it for the diration. Any background sound the editor has to remove, even with state-of-the-art sound removal tools can potentially degrade the overall quality of the recording.
2. Find a well-padded location. The sound of your voice reflects off walls and other surfaces around you. Professional voice artists have sound booths with accoustic padding. If you can't do that, you can make your own with minimal effort. Clothes, duvets and pillows are great for this. Since I have no professional studio, I record in my clauset with clothes and a couple pillows to muffle any reverb. I also put a clothes horse with a heavy blanket behind me, because most microphones won't pick up as much sound from in front of you, but will pick it up from behind you. So muffling your behind is key. If all else fails, drape a heavy blanket over your own sweet self. Just make sure you don't overheat, and avoid any blanket moving sounds.
3. If at all possible, please use an actual microphone to record. There are a ton of great options out there, but if you aren't sure where to start , or don't have the money to invest in one, your local library may allow you to rent a sound studio at little to no charge. Failing that, if you have a local music store, they also may allow you to rent a quality microphone.
4. Listen to yourself through headphones while recording. You'll be amazed what little sounds you can pick up when you do. ALso, listen to them after to ensure you didn't miss a sound that can't be edited out later. There's nothing worse than giving your all, recording a fantastic take and realizing at that pivital emotional climax, there's the sound of your sleeve brushing the mic, or some such blemish.
I recently did the sound design and dialog editing for an audio drama, and we had voice actors from all over the place. Many of them used anything from their phones to their laptop microphones. I spent more time cleaning up recordings than I did any other one thing. So please, do Mytruesound, and your chances a favor and turn in the best recording, and performance you possibly can.
At Mytruesound, are you also casting for The other two characters? I think it's nice you're dubbing it into other languages.
That's all correct, Remy,
That's all correct, Remy, thanks for helping others.
Because the other two characters just have few lines each, we will use the existing audio files from the participants to look for them too and thus making it faster to pick "all" voice actors.
Hope you are doing all great today!
I just submitted!
I just submitted! Hoping it goes well for me :) .
German
What is about a German translation? I could translate the script maybe if you want.
German translation
I'm sorry, Slaughter, but unfortunately we don't have the resources to translate this game to many languages due to the cost and time of the translation and finding voice actors, etcetera. We were able to translate this game to Spanish because David Oliva, myTrueSound CEO, is Spanish and I am Spanish too, meaning that we can supervise constantly the work done.
But hopefully, if the sales are good enough in the Spanish-speaking market we could keep developing the game for other languages!
Voice actor
Good afternoon!
So now that the time is over, I am proud to announce our new voice actor for Saundaman: Cristian León!
We are already working on this project, and hopefully we will be able to bring you AudioMagos as soon as possible. It will be a pleasure to bring another audiogame to the Spanish-speaking community!
Thank you for participating, and thank you all for supporting our games.
For any information, here you have our contact mail: contact@mytruesound.com
We will be pleased to help you.
