I'm definitely going to try this out when it is released. I listened to the trailer earlier and it sounds amazing.
yeah I am looking forward to it
No matter what, I will try it.
I am so exciting and I will buy it or pay for it if it need to.
this type of games is my favorite genre
Beta
Do you guys need help beta testing? I can help you guys test it through a blind perspective
here I think..
I think the beta cycle is almost finished isn't it?
This sounds like a great game!
I can't wait to play this game!
I am extremely excited to try this out!
Hello! I am extremely excited to try this out! To the developer, would you be interested in being on my podcast for an interview about this game? It’s a live show but it’s also being recorded at the same time if you are, you can send me a message on here and then I will get back to you and give you my email address and then we can go from there!
price
Do we know what the pricing structure will be like? I'm hoping it's just a one time fee without a ton of in-app purchases.
Also I've listened to the voice acting in the trailer and it's amazing! I can't wait to play this game, too.
Also do we know if it will work without network connection? I'm going to be in a ship in June and that's perfect time to play since I'll just have my phone :) .
I can’t wait!
I will be most definitely be getting this game! I love the trailer it sounds amazing!
Anyone else having trouble?
I can't seem to listen to the trailer. Just using my iPhone.
The trailer
When your voiceover says one minute and 49 seconds, click on that and then when you swipe right there should be a play button, if you keep swiping it should show if it’s muted or not
Answering questions
Hi,
Thank you for positive feedback and your questions.
The pricing will be one time fee, no ads, no in-app purchases.
No internet connection needed, the game can be played completely offline.
The game was intensively tested in recent weeks by blind players so we don't look for beta testers at this point.
This game looks cool.
I am really looking forward to this. One question, will the menus be self voicing, or use voiceover?
re: Answering questions
hi!
good to hear from you
will it have multi player mode or PVP mode.
for us to play together.
online?
even it can play offline mode.
re: Anyone else having trouble?
maybe it is automatically mute. find the mute button and then unmute it.
it work in my side.
Not working for me.
Muted or unmuted, it doesn't seem to work for me. The timer is counting down, but there is no sound. I wish The trailer was on YouTube also.
Trailer
Hello. For me, I just double tap on the trailer button, and it opens a video player and the video plays immediately. No issue here. the trailer is amazing.
A question for the developers.
Hello, so, I am wondering, how will the game exactly work? Will you turn towards enemies and shoot at them, wait till they get close to stab them, or be able to walk around and hit things. Just curious, I know the game is close to launch, but I am still curious anyway. Any release date announcement by the way? And another thing I forgot to add, will you just swipe in the direction of enemies to hit them? Again, all speculation as to how the combat in this game will work. Still excited anyway.
Something to truly look out for
There is one thing we can all agree on, and that's the fact that this game will be rare due to having four endings. You just don't get that on iOS audio games these days. Usually, audio games are kind of repetitive and only have one ending. This will be a welcome addition.
Bosses and enemies
One thing I am curious about, and looking forward to, are the boss designs and enemy designs. It’s going to be fun to stab some bloodthirsty sheep. I always laugh every time I rewatch the trailer and hear that.
Probably not
I don’t think there will be a PVP mode. I think just the story, and the endless battle modes.
Another one
Same game mechanics different actors. I am sorry to say that I don’t get what all the fuss is about.
Follow the voice to move around, swipe one way to attack, swipe another way to use an item, long press to block, double tap to interact with objects etc. exactly the same thing as a blind legend, inquisitors heartbeat, Lost in blindness and many others. When a blind legend came out the concept was interesting, now it’s just repetitive and boring. Furthermore, it doesn’t address a serious gap in gaming for blind gamers, which is the lack of multiplayer games for blind gamers to play with one another or with sighted gamers for that matter. Also this game is understandably not free, because I believe that fancy sound effects must be coded, actors must be hired and I suppose other costly things as well.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Developers in my humble opinion must rethink the way they make games for the blind audience. Instead of designing games for the blind, I think they should focus on how to make games accessible to the blind. Take for example Jianfeng Wu’s games. They are all mainstream strategy games that were not designed for the blind, but were made accessible to them by the developers excellent mind and hard work. Besides that, they are also free although they could command a really high price in my opinion, given their uniqueness and their high-quality. Since Jianfeng Wu is a one man army, he has also proven that a large team is not a requirement for a good game.
Don’t get me wrong, I greatly appreciate all the work and effort of any developer that chooses to invest on this market. Something is better than nothing after all.
My point is that the market is still young and although the strategy genre was addressed by Jianfeng Wu, there are still many many game categories that have nothing accessible. Take for example card games hearthstone like, simulation games or even board games to name but a few. Nothing except a very few exceptions like lost cities, Blind Mah-jongg, kings corners and dice world.
Anyway, I am very grateful for Kikiriki games work, I am just trying to explain the needs of this market to the best of my knowledge. Since this developer has decided to invest on this market, it is only fair to give them an honest feedback.
How do you know?
Were you a tester or something? I don’t buy this. The way the trailer sounds, this has severe audio defense vibes. Not a blind legend. So unless you know something we don’t, I’d appreciate it if I could know.
well, we have to wait
well,
I think we have to wait until it really released.
I am looking forward to it though
one more thing
will it be released in the other plactforms
like on Mac OS or PC or steam?
As it says
The game will be released for iOS and android only.
Trailers can be made to…
Trailers can be made to sound good, it's how they draw you in after all.
Many years ago, upcoming authors would read their books themselves and release a chapter each week as a podcast.
They use to call them podeobooks.
Well, one such podeobook decided to do a trailer, but the way they designed that trailer was like an audio drama, with voiceactors and soundeffects.
I was shocked to descover that the actual story, wasn't like the trailer at all, instead some guy reading his book as an audiobook and releasing it as a podcast.
So, the moral of this story, don't fall for cleverly disguised trailers.
I wasn't impressed with this trailer to be honest, I've heard better audio dramas from some of those audio production companies that you can easily find on the internet, but to each their own.
I'll make up my mind once it's released and someone does a podcast on it.
You’re right
To be honest, yes. You are correct. I am skeptical as to how this game will work. Although, the sound design does sound amazing. I will still play this regardless of how bad the game is. After all this is really just a teaser trailer.
Answering Questions #2
Hi, thank you all for the comments.
The menus in the game use voice-over, while the story dialogues are dubbed by professional actors.
We are sorry to hear that there are some issues with playing the trailer, we decided to host it ourself to keep it free from ads, but we will do our best to upload it to youtube as well.
The game will be released for Android and iOS only and it's single player experience.
The genre is fast action spiced with hyperbole and fantasy story.
One of the reasons we decided begin with this genre is because we like it ourselves. But we understand that different people have different tastes, so if you are looking for different style we can recommend checking another game that will be relased later this year - it's called "1428: Shadows Over Silesia", feel free to check their landing page: https://blind.shadows1428.com

Jana
I will be interviewing
I will be interviewing the developer or developers of this game on April 22 at least that’s the way it looks right now. The interview will be live on Clubhouse and will also be recorded in the process from my podcast. If any of you would like to join I will post a link here once the interview date is closer. Still working at the fine details though, so the date could change.
Good or not.
I personally am interested in the four endings, as usually audio games only have one. This will be the first audio game in the history of iOS with more than just one ending, so despite the audio it will at least have some replayability.
Podcast
I am interested in the podcast. Will this be on YouTube as well?
Engine.
I am wondering if this game is going to incorporate the use of the taptic engine especially for fights. That would be neat.
Forgot about that
That would be amazing, seeing as how well blind Drive utilized it. We don’t have many games that utilize that.
re: Engine.
yeah I would like to see it has some haptic feedback to make the game more realistic and enjoyable.
Upgrades
I am wondering how we will upgrade our weapons. I think the trailer hinted at some sort of marketplace. That would be cool if it was in the story, or out of it kind of like the Armory in audio defense.
who tested?
Baffles me where all these blind testers came from? no one has heard of the company before? I can't see it being that difficult to play but i am happy to be proven wrong.
I know we can't hear from these supposed testers but they only worried about losing their free copy by telling us how this actually plays. is it hand-holding? i guess not, since the dove is it? guides you but is it just follow me, this way this way this way, ah, you found me kill this, follow me follow me follow me etc. we shall just have to wait and see.
No idea
No idea where they got their blind testers from. We’ll just have to wait and see.
anything we just have a guest
I think the games developers have confident that the game will be blind friendly as they said and accessible.
we will see how's it like and I am so exciting!
re: Podcast
can we ask them to have a brief demonstration of the game during the podcast?
even on zoom or team or club house... the stero or 3 d sounds will be gone.
Good idea
That sounds like a good idea. At least hearing what the game sounds like would be good. As long as it obviously doesn’t spoil anything.
Not the only one
In response to someone who said that this would be the first game with multiple endings, there was an old iOS horror game that had three story endings. It was called heathcoat and was a simple game where you just swiped up to enter a menu and swiped left and right to shoes options following up with another swipe up to confirm an option like an interactive story kind of thing.
English and czech
It looks like the trailer is available in both English and Czech. Any idea on whether the game is multilingual? It'd be cool if it is.
Assuming so
I think it will be available in both languages as well.
Answering Questions
Hello,
Thank you all for your interest in the game To the Dragon Cave.
The game genre is a quick action, single player experience.
Target platform is iOS and Android.
Game menus work with Voice-over on iOs and it’s counterpart on Android, while story dialogues are dubbed by profesionalls actors.
The game will be initially released in English and Czech, and later in additional update we add German, Polish and Spanish (including voice actors).
Thanks for answering
Thanks for answering these questions. Is there anyway you can provide a gameplay trailer of sorts to demonstrate how some of the gameplay works? That would be amazing.
future update
I hope the future update will have multi player version or online version to have different external storyline or things like that.
keep up the good work anyway.
released date?
so, will it be released in early May?
and do you have anexact day?
can't wait to play it
In my head
I’m keeping May 1 in my head as a possible day. Once that passes, I will start thinking about other days in early May. Could be 8 9 or 10.
I’m sure this will be good
I am positive that this game will be amazing. No matter what.
What makes you think it'll be May?
Does it say so on the website?
