Recently, Diana Hughes, who is with Psychic Bunny, the makers of Freeq, posted a wonderful article about the five things they learned while making the game accessible.  The article is at http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/DianaHughes/20131120/205346/5_Things_We_Learned_About_Developing_An_iOS_Game_for_Blind_Players.php I'm posting the entire article below because, mainly, four out of the five times I tried accessing the site I couldn't, and also because, as I said in the subject line, it's just FREEQING awesome..AppleVis Editor’s Note: the text of the blog post has been removed so as not to breach copyright.

What a great blog post. I've never heard of this game but I'm definitely going to check it out. Sounds really cool and what a great attitude the blog poster has. We need more developers like that.

Ken, this is indeed a great blog post … and one which will hopefully get more game developers thinking about accessibility. However, I’ve had to remove the text of the blog post from your own post here, as posting it in full in this way would be a breach of copyright.

I love this post! I really do wish more devs were so receptive and curious, it sounds like it was a lot of fun for them and an eye-opening experience. They took a chance and FReeq is just amazing. I love that they made an audio only trailer, which is what really hooked me, I had to dave it as soon as I heard it, the excitement in the Twittersphere was amazing, and it showed them that we are here, we game, and we want to have as much fun as our sighted counterparts. I really wish some big buck game developers would see this and get curious too. I'm still waiting for my dream RPG for iPhone. Solara is great, but not quite what I'm thinking, I want to be able to level up, learn new spells, that kinda thing, maybe MMO or not, I dunno. Maybe it's not possible, but a dungeon crawler could be possible, maybe. Anyway... enough of that four in the morning rambling, or nearly... Awesome blog post, amazing responses and I hope to see more fromthis developer, definitely.
