Hey guys. Do you think that any of the Hasbro games for IOS will ever be accessible for blind users to play? I really enjoyed playing games like Life and monopoly when I had vision and it sucks that they are not playable for someone who has no sight. I downloaded a few of the Hasbro games and none of them are accessible. Just wanted to see what everyone else thought about it. Also I wanted to let anyone who is interested know that I have a blind gamers group on facebook if anyone is interested in joining. Any topic pertaining to games is allowed. Rather it be computer, video, card, or IOS games etc it is talked about. You can find it here at this link https://www.facebook.com/groups/BlindGamers101/

I think you're better off looking for similar games from smaller developers, as they're more likely to implement VoiceOver support. The big mainstream game companies probably make their games so they can easily be put on multiple platforms, so they're mostly graphics that VO could never interpret. And we're a small enough community that they probably don't think it'd be worth the investment to redo the app in a way that it could be played with audio.

Off the top of my head, here are a couple that I enjoy.

Zany Touch is kind of like the old Bop It games. I actually like it better. It has a cute little kid who yells out what you need to do. You can even play it without turning VoiceOver off as it's one of the very few apps I've seen that supports direct touch. The recent addition of Game Center achievements has also upped the replay value for me.

There's also Naval Combat which is a Battle Ship clone. It also has full game center support, even allowing you to play online games with others, as well as a lot of hard to earn achievements.

And if you want to get your yahtzee on, there's good ol Dice World.

Bopit is accessible enough that I can use it. Youo turnf Vo to actually play gameplay, but it's accessible.
