hi all,i have an ipad mini 4, and i really like it for reading kindle books etc. for my iphone, at present, i use an iphone 6 and have gotten used to the overall size of this device. i am however, next month, upgrading to an iphone 7 here in the uk. do totally blind people recommend the 7, or the plus? i thought a plus, was only more useful to those with residual vision? is the 7 just as good as the plus, for an individual with no sight, like me, and is it the same size as the 6? thanks to all Will.

Hi Will. It's really a matter of personal preference. Personally I once had a 6 Plus, and while I appreciated the larger screen size and better battery, I found the physical device to be too big and unwieldy for my liking, and near impossible to use one handed, so have been much happier with the standard iPhone 7. Others I'm sure love it. Also do you care about photos, because the Plus has a better camera.

Also, yes the 7 is identical in size and shape to the 6.

Well as long as the 7 is more accurate, than the 6 with the knfb reader i'm not bothered about general photos. i find half the time prismo is giving me far more accurate results with a point and snap approach and knf, on my 6, is reading mainly jibberish that clearly is not in the original text or article that i scan.

I would definitely go for the standard iPhone 7. I've had mine for just over 2 months and love it. Prior to this, I was using a standard 6. I've never owned a Plus but I've seen one and personally, I think it's too big. I also couldn't justify getting a plus for myself because it isn't much smaller than my iPad Mini. Of course, as was stated by another poster, it all boils down to personal choice. Good luck.

I'm definitely with David on this one, the standard iPhone 7 works great for me. But, still have a look at both. You may find that for your use case, the 7 plus is better, maybe you might use Braille screen input, or maybe you're into taking photos or videos...it really does come down to personal preference on this one, also price is a factor too. So keep that stuff in mind.

Hi there I also agree with the comments above you should take a look at both of them and see which one is best for you but for me I have the iPhone 7 Plus I like the battery and having the camera get dirty on the 7+ I mainly like the battery performance and also the bigger screen is better for me because I can see some stale and I can see your videos better I meant I still have site so I'm in the bigger screen is easier for me to watch videos with and I was out I'm at the back of the camera stuff is also a plus for me I might not have able to be able to use the full potential of the camera I mean I might not use the full potential of what I meant but it's a plus for having it if I find a way to use it it's there to be able to use I hope all this is understandable and not too jumbled up

Hello,

At first, I thought the 7 plus was huge. But in a few days, I got used to it. Personally, I like the long run times before I need to charge it. I use it heavily and it seems to last me two days. The big screen also helps me perform some gestures like the four finger tap or rotor with ease since I have fat fingers.

As far as the dual lens, I can’t say I get better results when using KNFB, Voice and such. It either reads it or it doesn’t.

The best thing to do is purchase from a retailer, like Apple or phone provider, that will allow you to exchange the phone within 14 days should you change your mind.

HTH and good luck.
