What do people think about the new MacBook Air?

Hey guys. I don't know if this is the correct forum to post this on, so if it is, I apologize in advance. I just watched the Apple event for the Mac and iPad and I gotta say I'm glad I bought my MacBook Air when I did. So it appears that there's no way now to avoid the Butterfly Keyboard if you're in the market for a new MacBook. Sure, the ability to use touch ID and invoke Hey Siri sounds awesome, but the keyboard is a show stopper. I've played with a butterfly keyboard and I get why people complain. Keys are too squished together and there's no travel. But what do you guys think about the new MacBook Airs?

hi,
I've got a late 2016 pro, and the butterfly keyboard is in my opinion better than the previous keyboards. Sure the travel isn't deep like what people are used to, but you really get used to it after a while. But, if you think the new keyboards are a showstopper, than be glad you didn't get the new macBook. I'm not surprised they went to the new keyboards on all the new macs. I personally love the new keyboards.

I'm not wild about the new keyboard. I have heard plenty of complaints about the new keyboards and its quality.
The display has been updated which is irrelevant for non-sighted user's like myself that do not utilize the screen.
Having touch ID is a nice add.
Overall, not something I would upgrade for. I purchased a 2017 mac Air with the old keyboard and has nearly the same specks as the newly announced one. I don't have touch ID, but I can live without it.

For what you get I believe the new air is overpriced. The processor seems very slow for the price they are asking. Not to mention the fact that it is only a dual core and not a quad core.
