Once this tool is up and running/connected, to an iPhone in my case, it can insert measurement readings into edit fields, as if it were a keyboard. VO reads the numbers without any issues. Nothing else about it is directly accessible; ie you have to remember which button is which and how many times to push it to change to the unit you want, etc.
*Changing a couple of things I incorrectly stated, but the instruction sheet is readable by Seeing AI or other apps. The devices LCD display does not seem to be readable though.*
To get started, you might want to know the on/off button is on the left. On the top-right edge, there is a rectangular button that sends data to the phone or receiving device, also Bluetooth pairing etc. It's listed on my phone only as keyboard in the pairing screen of settings.
The only difficulty I had was with the battery compartment, which is on the top left edge. It has a tray, like a SIM card or other memory card, but the trick is to place an included, screwdriver-like tool in a slot next to the tray and leaver or pry the tray out, no screw or eject button involved.
An issue that alarmed me is that you might need to pair the device again if you haven't used it for a time, but this is covered in the instructions. I worried it had stopped working.
I think everything else is covered in Youtube videos and other, on-line reviews. Very much worth it if you need fairly accurate measurements.
