Scanner recommendations

Hey all, I'm currently looking for a scanner that would work nicely with Mavericks and Prizmo. I've already tried my luck with a Plustek MobileOffice scanner, but this turned out to be a great mess unfortunately... I made sure to check for Mac compatibility before purchasing, and the website did state that OS X was supported... However, when I received the device, I couldn't find any OS X drivers on the CD, and my Mac would not recognise the scanner without any kind of software. I did find some beta software on the Plustek website (pretty outdated, from like 2010), which was mostly inaccessible and wouldn't work properly on my Mac. Thus I am returning that scanner, and was wondering if anyone on here had any recommendations as to which scanners play nicely with OS X... Many thanks for any help!!! Robin
