Hello everyone, I am searching for a solution for recording on an iPhone or iPad using a microphone. I have tried using a microphone that plugged into my headphone jack. However, when I did so, I no longer recieved Voiceover feedback. Does anyone have a solution (microphone) that will allow me to record with in my App. while still receiving Voiceover feedback? Thanks in advance.

I am also looking for a solution for this. With Audio Hijack there is a way, but maybe there's an easier one, perhaps?

So, if you want to record using a microphone and still get vo feedback, just plug in the earbuds that came with your iPhone. The earbuds have a small microphone, and you will still be able to receave vo feedback. Hope this helps.

I would suggest a trip to Radio Shack or a similar vendor.

The input on the iDevices expects 3 connections - two for the sereeo output and one for the microphone input. You need an adapter that can plug into the input of the iDevice and then splits into two ends - one end for plugging your microphone into and the other end for plugging in your earbuds.

I don't know if such a splitter exists, but if it does Radio Shack should be able to send you in the right direction.
