Hello everyone. I just curious about the iPhone 7. As we no, the home button on iPhone 7 can not be pressed like the previous iPhone. So, how can we turn on VoiceOver for the first time on activation screen? If, the home button can not be pressed? Thanks for your answer.

Hi. Apple is implementing something called haptic feedback. So, if you put your finger in the same place the home button already is, this is in the bottom of the phone, right in the center you'll be able to feel the button pressing as you normally would now. That's definitely going to be something very interesting to get used to, but it's not a show stopper. I'm going to be getting one, it'll be the the iPhone 7 32 gig model,I chose black for the color. So i'm sure you'll see plenty of discussion about it as people get their phones and start using them right here on Applevis. Watch this space as they say. :)

I'm asking this because in my country iPhone 7 may be will be available early 2017. So, i'm afraid if i can not turn on VO if the home button can not be triple click.

I see no reason why the home button can't be clicked 3 times quickly, from what I'm being told it'll feel exactly like you're tapping a button, even though no button is actually there. Since the iPhone 7 won't be coming to your country til then, you'll have plenty of reports to go on. I have to admit I've never worked with haptic feedback before, but maybe apple watch owners can chime in and talk about what the experience is like. The apple watch uses the same sort of technology so i'm sure someone will fill in the missing points, and like I say, you'll no doubt see loads and loads of discussions about the iPhone here. This isn't something people are going to stay quiet about, for sure!

I'm wondering how accurately we will be able to place our finger for its fingerprint to be able to be saved or recognized after having been saved. If the home button is flush with the screen, and it does not flex, what will indicate accurate location to a blind user? These questions will probably be answered when I get a chance to put my paws on an iPhone 7 or 7 plus, but I will like to hear the personal findings from others in the meantime.

I'm certain someone on here said there is actually a physical home button, it's just one that doesn't move. So we'll still be able to tell where the button is and probably be able to triple click it. We'll just have to wait and see when the phone hits stores/carriers. I'll also be getting the 7, 7plus probably in 256 GB. In my eyes, the more storage you have the better off you'll be.

When the new phone comes out, I'm sure there will be podcasts about the new features. Usually, David Woodbridge or another @Applevis staff member does demos of new features, not only for the device but updates to the software as well.

A lot of these guys who do podcasts have been beta testing the iOS 10 betas for months so they can familiarize themselves with the new features so that, on release day, people can come to grips with the new features quickly. and judging from everything I've heard there are a lot of new things. I've read a few articles that suggest that there is a home button, but it's not physical. It's inside the device but you can't feel it unless you touch in the right place. It may take a bit of getting used to, but just like we learned how to do the triple click home action, we can learn this new way too.

If you planning to get a case for your iPhone, they will make sure there is a way to find the home button. I am planning to get the iPhone 7 and get a otterbox case.

Well I of course used the haptic feedback on the apple watch and I also have used it on my iPhone 6S, and though it works, I can't think how it is going to feel like the new home button will be pressed but who knows. People also said that it would sound like the watch is tapping your wrist, yet I wouldn't have described it like that at all.
So looking forward, like others, to be reading user experiences. :)
Good luck to everyone getting the iPhone 7! I am excited for you and the geek in me in very tempted, but I am going to hold off this time. :)
