I'm about to Percious the Phonak Audeo v30, and OF cores, we are using the Voice over most of the time. am thinking of buying the Phonak Wireless Compilot , anyone tried it? i tried it on the Phonak Shop, it seems ok with VOice over, but they do not allow long period of trial.
so, need your experience if this is ok with VOice over and Navigation apps or is there a better alternative? I noticed also that the pwer saving may be the problem, but is tehrea solution for this?thanks in advance

As someone who uses a compilot myself, I assure that I have no problems when using mine with an iPhone 8 running IOS 11.
Hope this helps.

Hello.
I have the Phonak Compilot 1, which may have different results than the II or the ComPilot Lite. I have found the 3.5 MM to 3.5 MM connection works wonderfully. Even with the lightning to 3.5 MM adapter, it still works great, even if you have to carry another dumb dongle with you. Concerning the Bluetooth connectivity, it works about as well as any headset or audio device that connects via Bluetooth. There will be, for example, a slight delay between VoiceOver speaking and when it is heard through the CP. And after about 3 seconds of silence, the connection will drop and then pick back up once audio starts. The bigger issue with this where the ComPilot is concerned is that the hearing aids will also drop the connection between the CP and your iOS device, and then when audio resumes, the hearing aids re-inicializes, so you have to wait for the CP to finish saying that it is connected to Bluetooth audio after the hearing aids switch back to the Bluetooth connection... There is no setting that I'm aware of that can change this behavior. I've also found that, though I can clearly hear people on a Face Time call, that the internal microphone on the CP is more difficult to understand than the iOS device's microphone. Whether that is too many issues for you to find the purchase worth your money is a decision you will need to make. I use mine all the time, but rarely with Bluetooth for the reasons I wrote above. I hope this info helps.

Hi scotte:
thanks so much for your input. i will get the Compilot Air2, hope it will be great. but just asking, what is better, to connect via standered bluetooth? or to connect via the Hearingaids place on Ios?
thanks in advance

Hi.
As far as I know, you cannot connect directly with the ComPilot through the hearing Accessibility options. You must do so through the regular Bluetooth menu. As far as I know, it does not offer MFI support.
