A microphone for Less than $40 which works with iPads and voice-over

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a microphone that works with an iPads existing charging port, instead of having to buy an adapter.
It should be under $40 and because I’m completely blind, I don’t want it to be too fancy and something which I can use out of the box.
