Hi guys,

How in the world do you change the tips on airpod 2nd gen pro? I've looked endlessly on Google, seen a post here that seems to indicate this is easy. However, I haven't a clue. Maybe being thick and don't want to break things but I can't do it. Any tips?

You literally just yanked them off and snapped them back on. I would say it could also be useful to go to an Apple Store or a tech store and they could either do it for you or teach you how to do it.

Seriously, just pull them off and snap them back on.
There's a hard inner shell that snaps into a groove in the Airpod. Note the oval shape of both the tip and the groove you are snapping it into.

The groove is circular. You can rotate the tip when it is in place. I've got some comply tips which are elyptical memory foam so I have to rotate to make sure they are sitting right. Couldn't do that if the groove was oval.

Hay. Actually, @Chris Smart is right. If you pull the silicon part that goes in your ear up, inside out, you'll feel a hard shell. Personally, I put my index finger in this inside out portion, then use my other fingers to pull. I don't care for the yank method, I've busted tips that way, but that's just me. Once removed, you can clean them with sope and water, but I'm not sure about harder chimicals. Now, when you put them back on, make sure they're completely dry. I put my index finger in that inside-out part, and gently holding it against the groove it came from, I turn. You'll feel it settle in place, that's when you push. This means the clips and holes on the tips and airpods are alligned. As for being able to turn the foam versions, they're likely mounted on a center tube, the tube is circular wo the foam does turn. Hope this helps.
